The capital of Hawaii was our destination for today. Before that, we visited the Diamond Head Crater. After a quite steep and challenging climb in the blazing sun, you are rewarded with a magnificent view of Honolulu. Then we went into the city. After a visit to the Hard Rock Cafe and a really good lunch, we browsed in the associated shop and bought shirts. Gerhard was able to expand his collection. You can only buy the shirts with the city logo in the shop itself. After visiting the statue of Kamehameha, the first king of Hawaii who ruled all the islands, Thomas was able to buy a carry-on suitcase to safely bring his ukulele home. On the way back to the accommodation, we visited one of the white beaches on Oahu. Unfortunately, the weather had become worse by then. Therefore, lying on the beach and swimming was out of the question. It was dark again when we arrived at the condo.
