It was announced that it would rain a lot and quite heavily. Yesterday I spent a long time googling for accommodation that doesn't cost 300 CHF and is not closed. Under these conditions, today's stage is quite short, but no less impressive, a touch of Norway was in the air.
Climbing uphill against the wind and rain is only moderately fun, so I partially shortened the Inn cycle path by taking the normal road. It's not as nice, but it saved me some additional altitude meters. Furthermore, there was very little traffic, mostly trucks, and there were numerous road and riverbed construction sites along the route.
The official language here is Romansh, everything is consistently written only in this language, and when spoken, it sounds like an Italian dialect.
In the afternoon, I spend time doing laundry, planning the tour - always a bit challenging due to the limited accommodation options - and taking a short walk through Scuol. In the evening, the hotel is full, I am the only tourist, everyone else is professional dam builders from one of the riverbed construction sites. Which is fine by me, they have to work tomorrow and won't party at night.

Hotel Scuol, 95 CHF = 92€ with breakfast, Wi-Fi, and a bathroom completely lined with Dezefix film, with a wild orange-brown pattern from the 70s - I find it more funny than disturbing
