Trip to Smithers

Today we traveled the final leg to Smithers - our northernmost destination of this break. Along the way, we made several stops. For example, in Fraser Lake at a hilarious restaurant run by a Dutch 'grandma' with a kitchen that would fail every inspection by a mile, but delivered super delicious burritos and tacos. The supermarket seemed frozen in 1965, but it offered 35 varieties of ice cream from the counter and provided a restroom for Alessandro 😅

In Smithers, we will now stay for a whole week and practice 'doing nothing' 🙈. We are staying at the guesthouse of Pam and Dani. It’s like something out of a storybook. Only the sight of bears makes the more anxious section of the family feel a bit tense again. Apparently, they like to stroll through the garden 😜.
