HK Trail & CNY Firework & Carnival

To kill time until the evening fireworks, we went for a hike in the afternoon. It was supposed to be Hong Kong Trail Section 4, but we got off track and ended up hiking somewhere else. ;) It wasn't bad though, until it started pouring rain towards the end. So we headed back home. I watched the fireworks from the Hong Kong Island side because the Kowloon side was overcrowded. You would have had to arrive three hours earlier to get a good spot, but I didn't feel like doing that this time and managed to get a decent second-row spot on the other side. The fireworks lasted a long time, 20 minutes, but after three firecrackers, you could hardly see anything due to the extremely large smoke cloud. But no big deal.

After that, I briefly walked around the carnival area where I had a 'German Sausage Combo'. It was a mini portion and unfortunately not very impressive, but I wasn't surprised. Home always tastes the best :)
