Koh Phangan Part 2

Published: 21.03.2023

Day 13 (19.03.2023)

It would be boring if every day started like the last 12. So Ann-So was promptly awakened by a cockroach at 8 o'clock. Erik was accordingly woken up by Ann-So, who had jumped up and watched in panic as the cockroach disappeared into her backpack. For the still sleepy Erik, this marked the beginning of the cockroach hunt. We (meaning Erik) thoroughly emptied our backpacks until we could locate the uninvited guest. But the real problem was catching the cockroach, which was quick unlike Erik. Eventually, we managed to catch it with the help of a frisbee and throw it out of the room. This experience only moderately increased our well-being in the room and Ann-So was visibly upset.

We had to recover from this shock first and went to have breakfast.

Afterwards, we rode our scooter to the north of the island to the Bottle Beach Viewpoint. We didn't have high expectations beforehand, so the incredible view over the island and the sea surprised us. The pictures speak for themselves and the short climbing passage was definitely worth it!

On the way back, we visited one of the many waterfalls, which was not particularly impressive.

We spent the afternoon at the hostel as we both needed some rest after the eventful past few days.

In the evening, we had a very delicious meal at a nearby restaurant. We ended the evening at the hostel watching a movie.
