Minimalism

For about two weeks, our furniture has been limited to the kitchen furniture, a couch, lowboard, bed, and three chairs along with the washing machine. Many items were picked up by a girl who is moving into her first own apartment in Zorneding. She will also receive the couch and washing machine. The lowboard has been promised to a neighbor. Our belongings are now distributed in various folding boxes in the hallway and bedroom. At least you don’t have to search long for things anymore.

The boxes for the Philippines are finally on their way to Sweden to be loaded into the shipping container. What were initially planned as three boxes has now become five, and we are right at the 20 kg limit. We even had to reduce a few more items.

On 03.02, I was finally able to delete the classifieds app when the last sellable item, an Apple keyboard, was handed over to its new owner. That was truly a relief! I never thought that renewing listings, taking photos, and especially discussing with interested parties would be so time-consuming.

Other remaining items from our household will be distributed to friends and neighbors or taken to the recycling center.

The bureaucratic preparations are also progressing: The international driving licenses have been collected, and the apostille is ready (a certification that our marriage certificate is valid). Furthermore, we have taken out liability insurance for abroad, and the application for health insurance is currently being reviewed.

Additionally, we have visited all necessary doctors again and have conducted health checks (also for the new health insurance).
