The Week of the 'Temples'

Si Satchanalai, Sukothai, and now Ayutthaya. 3 historical sites with very old temples or their remnants. We are surprised at how calm and peaceful it is, given the amount of world heritage... It is definitely super exciting and wonderful to see.

There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and night markets to recharge after indulging in the culture.

On the way to Ayutthaya, we traveled on non-touristy paths. Luckily, we found a hotel. Cold shower, flushing toilet with a cup from the water barrel, but at least there was a sink with running water—too bad there was no drain; that was only in the bathroom corner... The landlord was also a bit amusing. When we returned from dinner, he immediately took the room key from us. (We could lock it from the inside) That was true—still strange...

The day after tomorrow, we will head to Bangkok, and then the vacation will already be over....
