Arrival in Dunkirk (Dünkirchen) and then to Dover

After arriving in Dunkirk (Dünkirchen) at 2:30 AM, we proceeded as usual to the passport and luggage control. The class participated excellently, but they still had respect for the - very friendly - border officials 😉. However, they greeted and said goodbye politely with Merci and Goodbye. After that, we took the bus to the ferry and then continued on to Dover. Of course, we were 2 hours early there, and overall, we were received in Poole 3 hours earlier. What should we do? City stroll! The excitement was immense, but somehow we had to pass the time. After that, we returned to Poole Stadium, and the curious waiting for the host families began. Every vehicle was examined, and even more so the drivers. They were, after all, the host families. The vocabulary of the youth suddenly dropped to a minimum, but we think that will change soon.
