Bako National Park
Two days ago, we landed in Kuching. Kuching is the capital city of Borneo. As Borneo is a country in Malaysia, Kuching is, in terms of significance, similar to Wiesbaden ;-)...

We arrived at Mulu National Park 3 days ago. There is no road to this resort, so we had to fly. The plane was small, as you can see. Mulu has the longest cave system in the world (220 km). On the first day, we saw the Deer & Lang Caves; the next day, we explored the Clearwater Cave and the Wind Cave. The caves have light switches that are sometimes over 100m high. A long river flows through the Wind Cave. You can swim in it outside the cave. It was great: the water was cold and clear (at least if you swim before anyone else, meaning before meals *g*). Millions of bats fly out of the Lang Cave every evening - a reason why there are very few mosquitoes here. We also found the number of many crawling creatures interesting: caterpillars, worms, and more.
It was a wonderful stay. Now we are heading to Kota Kinabalu.
