After a slump, things are looking up again.

After a few days' break, here's another sign of life from me/us.

I was feeling pretty down and even ill. The constant traffic noise was also very draining. But now I'm on the mend.

A project choir started at our church on Monday, and I'm singing in it too. There were six women and five men! The choir director is from Guatemala, and our organist accompanies us on the piano. The first rehearsal focused a lot on rhythm and movement, a completely new approach for me. Everything is in Spanish, which helps me improve my Spanish, but some of the women speak German and gave me a very warm welcome. It's easy to connect with people here. We're rehearsing for a Christmas concert.

Yesterday, a woman from the congregation visited us; she's always available to help with questions and problems. That's a great help. We're also in contact with the church council. Martin's work is really taking shape. The German ambassador has also contacted us and wants to meet us. In the next few days, Martin also plans to get in touch with a small congregation in Panama, which we might visit.

Yesterday we went to a large park with beautiful plants and trees, about a 30-minute walk away. We also found a nicer route there that doesn't go directly along the main road. I'll use that one for running from now on.

It's gotten a bit cooler and the sky is more overcast. Yesterday it was even dry until 3:30 pm, but then it poured again for hours. We're now at the point where we'd like to take a trip out of San José. However, we'll have to factor in a long drive.

A craft circle for the Advent bazaar is about to start here. I can contribute my creative ideas there.
