We had now spent our two booked nights here. During breakfast, we agreed that we would stay a bit longer. After eating, Sebb went to the reception and extended our stay by another two days. Ines had hardly seen anything of the area so far.
We took a taxi service into the town, planning to buy a few things.
First, we visited the specialty store for cork goods where we had bought our cork hats back then. Now we finally equipped ourselves with new hats.
Next, we got another large blanket for our couch area.
We had been searching for a surf or bathing poncho for days at the beach for weeks. We found nothing suitable in the swimwear and toy stores, nor in the large supermarkets or clothing specialty stores. Today, we bought a large towel in a household textiles store, and Sebb planned to turn the towel into a poncho in the afternoon.
Our desire for the city faded very quickly today.
At the bus stop, there was again a stand with cork goods, and there Ines bought herself a new wallet. The long-distance bus then took us back from the city to the intersection near the parking spot.
Sebb grabbed needle and thread and immediately got to work before it became calm for us again during the siesta.
In the late afternoon and evening, there was football on the radio.
Dinner was the same again today as the last two days, this time with beetroot salad. The basket of potatoes was now empty, and we were also getting a bit tired of mashed potatoes.
It seemed that someone was having issues at Vakantio today. Like every evening, we had written a small text and selected the best pictures of the day. But our travel blog's server was unreachable, so we couldn't publish anything. We kept trying every few minutes. However, nothing worked out that evening, and we would try again first thing tomorrow morning.
