When we got up in the morning to make breakfast, our refrigerator was much too warm. We were already familiar with this phenomenon; if the temperature was more than three degrees off, the absorption refrigerator wouldn’t work. We had optimally positioned the wheel chocks last night; there was not much more we could do given the terrain. After thorough consultation, we repositioned the vehicle and tried parking sideways instead of lengthwise on the slope, but unfortunately without success.

Once we had put our laundry into the campground’s machine, Ines inquired about another spot with less slope. We then got a nice flat spot under the trees, and the refrigerator started working again.

Since it was Sunday, the weather was cloudy, and the occasional drizzle significantly reduced our motivation for activities, we did nothing today; we just lounged around and ‘grew moss.’ We did, of course, take time to shower before dinner (colorful salad on fried potatoes).
