Just under 2 months until the start.
Like most people, we owned a car. A "guacamole-white" Opel Corsa that we had been driving since 2015. Now the question arose as to what should happen to the vehicle over the next few months. We couldn't just leave it on the street for ¾ of a year. One construction site and it would have ended up with the tow truck.
We could have parked it at a friend's property, so at least it would have been off the road, but we would have still had to pay taxes and insurance for just sitting there. We discussed all ideas—deregistering, putting it out of service, lending it out—and ultimately decided to sell the car after more than 10 years. Sebb researched a price using relevant car sales portals, and soon found someone in our acquaintance who was willing to take over the well-maintained, used vehicle.
Needless to say, on a Saturday in May, we parted ways with our little Opel.
