Today, our destination was the lighthouse on Arosa Island. Ines had found a parking spot at a beach bar where we received vouchers of equal value to our parking fee. Therefore, we paid nothing when we ate there. This was exactly to our liking.
Although we arrived just fifteen kilometers in a straight line from the starting point, we registered seventy kilometers on the odometer after today’s drive. We had circumnavigated a body of water. Along the way, we also stopped at the supermarket to stock up on our food supplies.
The bar was indeed located right by the lighthouse, which we could see very well from Gary’s window. So we parked, checked in, and went for a long walk first. Sebb had underestimated the size of Arosa and thought we could walk around the island. While this would have been theoretically possible, given that the island measures seven square kilometers and the coastline was very rugged, such a hike did not fit into our plan. We settled for an hour-long walk along the beach and then visited the 'Mirador con do forno,' the viewpoint with the statue of Christ.
In the evening, we used our vouchers and went to eat at the beach bar 'Chiringuito Kalma.'
