We then made our way to Wanaka from the west coast. Finally arriving in a larger city, we were initially stressed by all the hustle and bustle there. In Wanaka, we struggled up a mountain (1500 m) again, it took 3 hours uphill but it was worth it in the end.
Then we continued to Queenstown, luckily there was Domino's Pizza again and since we hadn't had pizza in what felt like a hundred years, we took the opportunity and ate pizza (unfortunately it wasn't that tasty though). We also treated ourselves to a hostel for 2 nights. However, the hostel wasn't that great either, sleeping with 6 other people in one room (one of them snoring) is just not as comfortable as sleeping in our car. In Queenstown, we didn't do much else.
After 2 nights, we continued to Glenorchy, a town about 45 minutes north of Queenstown. In Glenorchy, there were also several mountains and a large lake, and there were also some Lord of the Rings filming locations to visit. Overall, everything was very, very beautiful.
