Fourteenth day

We all started the day by spreading Nutella on bread. Those who felt like it even jumped into the stream next to where we were sleeping. We hopped into the car and just a short distance from our sleeping spot, we took a peek at the ruins of Stolač Castle.

Around lunchtime, we arrived in the town of Konjic, where we bought lunch in the form of pastries at a store. While we savored our food in the car, the mosque right by the parking lot began their daily prayer, which sounded more like shouting.

On the way to Sarajevo, we stopped to explore the abandoned Olympic hotel Igman, where horrors occurred during the Bosnian war that broke out on July 11, 1995, exactly 30 years ago. After that, we only had a tour of the capital city ahead of us. At the local pub, we tasted the most famous beer, Sarajevsko, and we couldn't resist trying the ćevapi, a Bosnian specialty.

In Trebević, a bit from Sarajevo, where our last night’s stay is planned, the boys checked out the bobsled track. Since we were sleeping at about 1000 m above sea level, it was so cold that we quickly warmed up with soups and went straight to bed.
