Good Way!

After a few more legs of the journey, I took a two-night break in Pamplona and am now heading west. So far, I have completed about the first 100 km, leaving 787 km to go. What have I gotten myself into...

Here’s a glimpse into the daily rhythm of a pilgrim: it starts early, really early. Then you walk, and walk, and walk. The scenery changes, you pass picturesque old town squares, look over fields, and gaze from mountaintops into valleys. It’s exhausting but also simply beautiful. Along the way, you meet other pilgrims and greet each other with the typical 'Buen Camino!'

Once you arrive at your destination, it’s time to check into the hostel and find your bed in the dorm. After that, it’s time for a shower, doing laundry (which still needs to dry), and finally resting, lying down, and relaxing your feet before enjoying a very good multi-day pilgrim menu, including red wine.

Even though there are moments when you are alone, you keep meeting people, often the same ones who walk at a similar pace. You chat over dinner and team up to make the ascent to the next mountain easier.
