After 33 hours of travel, we arrived in Auckland and picked up our mobile home for the next five weeks. We spent the first night in Whatipu, where there is a black beach and a few caves. Then we went to the Glowworm Caves in Waipu. After wading through water and mud, we could marvel at the blue glowing glowworms. We spent the third day hiking at Ocean Beach and yesterday we had a 14 km beach 'walk' to the Pouto Lighthouse.
