So it's been a while and we are reminiscing about our last trip to Costa Rica.
Santa Teresa is a small surfer town on the Atlantic coast and has delicious restaurants. ππββοΈ Perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying great food. βοΈππ€π
Our accommodation was nestled under a big tree and we could enjoy some tasty tapas in the green surroundings. π³π‘ππ»π
However, one evening it started raining and the whole village experienced a power outage. β‘οΈπ No lights, no food! π±π
The chef assured us that this happens often. When it rains for a long time, there can be a power outage for up to 3 days. ππ Hmm... well, we can handle that... π€ In the meantime, we enjoyed our glass of wine by candlelight. π·π―π Once the power was restored, we could finally try the tapas. ππ»π€
We also took a trip to Montezuma. We walked along a beautiful river to a waterfall. ππ It was hidden and refreshingly cool. ππ»π
We also explored Santa Teresa by π² and enjoyed the sun on the beach. βοΈππ

Well, that's it... our 4-month journey went by so quickly. π But we are really looking forward to seeing and hearing what our friends and family have been up to during this time... π
South America has been incredibly impressive and diverse. We have seen and experienced so many different things. β€οΈ
One of the highlights was definitely the Galapagos Islands, with their various unique animals. π‘π π¦π¦π’π¦ π¦π
Another highlight was the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. β° With the hike up to 4600 m above sea level, pushing us to our limits. π
And of course, protecting the sea turtles at Gandoca was also an incredible experience. π’β€οΈ We were able to observe so many animals and discovered many plants that we had never seen before. π·πππ±πΈ
Well, we are already thinking about our next adventure... π
