A heartfelt Hello to my fellow readers.
I'm Tine and in less than a month I'll be boarding a plane headed to New Zealand. I want to regularly share with you here what I have discovered and learned in New Zealand. Through pictures, you will get a visual insight from my perspective of the events to follow. I'm excited to take you on my journey to the other side of the world through this blog.
About my voluntary service: I have been given this unique opportunity to support planning, supervision, and everyday tasks in a leisure camp for children and adolescents in New Zealand for a year, while promoting my personal development. During my search for the sending organization that suited me best, I came across the volunteer association ICJA e.V. and was immediately convinced by their implementation. ICJA is a non-profit organization that aims to make intercultural exchange, education, and voluntary engagement more accessible. In the international umbrella organization ICYE (Federation of National Committees in the International Cultural Youth Exchange), ICJA and 35 partner organizations worldwide are united, enabling many people to find their own path and open up valuable perspectives. I am part of the International Youth Volunteer Service program, IJFD for short, and am financially supported by the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ).
More information about ICJA and their work can be found here: https://www.icja.de/#panel-3642-4
A message to my donors: THANK YOU! I am overwhelmed by the feedback I have received from you. I never thought I would reach so many of you. In addition to financial support, I have received nothing but warm words and congratulations, and each time I was filled with joy to have such a loving environment. I want to mention again at this point that unfortunately, I do not have insight into who has donated to my account. Please contact me if you have not received a personal thank you in response. It is important to me to be able to write at least a message to each individual. Of course, I am also looking forward to a phone call.
Every cent and every word has touched my heart with appreciation. Feel embraced.
In conclusion, I want to tell you that I am always open to questions and will try to respond as quickly as possible. Have patience with me as I want to get to know the country and its people offline and may not reply immediately due to the countless new impressions.
You will hear from me,
☆Tine☆
