Today we went on a round trip

After spending the first day rather calmly in Central Park, today we had a New York boat tour (2.5 hours) scheduled. Thanks again to our dear neighbors for this great tip.

But first we got through our first New York subway experience and got off at Times Square, where things are indeed quite hectic. But it is fascinating all the same.

We reached our pier on foot and secured a nice spot outside on the upper deck of the tour boat.

The trip around New York, including the Statue of Liberty, was more than worth it. What a skyline... And on the other side, we were totally surprised by how green the island is further up north.

After this entertaining experience, we wandered back to Times Square, where we directly stumbled into the crime scene of this stabbing incident. At first, we didn’t understand what was going on at all.

Our first impressions of New York are overwhelming... What a lively, energetic city with overall quite nice and very friendly residents.
