Yesterday we traveled from Lee Vining to the legendary Bodie Ghost Town – and wow, it really felt like a time travel to the Wild West! The setting appeared incredibly authentic, almost as if a cowboy was about to ride around the corner. Some of the old houses were even furnished – a bit like the residents had simply left the place overnight.

After that, we headed back to Yosemite National Park. However, today wasn't about a big hike – it was more of a leisurely driving day with a few stops at the most beautiful viewpoints to capture the spectacular landscape. Unfortunately, we also noticed some massive burned forest areas along the way – a sad sight that made us reflect.

Around 3 PM, we reached our new accommodation at the south entrance of the park: the charming Sierra Sky Ranch in Oakhurst. After checking in, it was time to put on our swimwear and hop in the pool! Afterwards, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere on the porch before heading to Bass Lake for dinner.

To end the day, we sat by the campfire, gazed into the flames, and let the day gently come to a close – a perfect balance after the many impressions of the last few days.

So wild sah es ja nicht aus, ich habe keine Indianer gesehen. Aber es sind beeindruckende Bilder, die bleiben euch immer erhalten.
