After spending a short night in an airport hotel (BA), I continued my journey. The hotel was a so-called pod hotel, meaning it had sleeping capsules. For 6 hours, you pay 80 dollars. Hmm. On the other hand, 80 dollars for 6 hours in a short-stay hotel is quite reasonable. :)
At 5 AM, I took a taxi to the regional airport. It only took '40 minutes' since it was Sunday morning. The driver told me that during normal traffic, it could also take 2 hours. You should definitely consider this when planning.
The flight itself was quite pleasant and only lasted 45 minutes. At the airport, you can book a so-called 'remission'. Which is pretty clever. You announce your destination at the airport and then pay on the spot. Afterwards, you get a 'taxi' assigned and off you go. No annoying taxi waving down or guessing about the price.
The hotel SPA, logically with SPA, is opposite my old hotel. I consciously chose this.
I feel a bit tired but happy. ;) Here in MdP everything is still just as amazing as back then, only the weather is better and the tourists are here.
At 12:00 PM, I went to my new house. Martin took me there since there were issues with the rental car. But we'll get to that later. The 'Gate'At the house, we were greeted by Hermann, his wife, his brother Thomas, and Martin's boss Christian who joined later.
A really illustrious group. I gave Martin, Hermann, and Christian a corkscrew from the Bodega El Legado as a gift. Some attentive readers might remember.
Furthermore, I had also purchased the most expensive bottle of Malbec I could find at the Duty Free. This was also gratefully accepted and immediately consumed. ;) One by one, Hermann's entire family started to arrive. Mother, father, two sisters, another brother, etc. The plan is that Hermann wants to say goodbye to his house and his family before he flies back to Florida. So it was time for us to leave. Off to the hotel, off to bed.
At 6:00 PM, I had an appointment with the experts from Hertz. When I arrived at 11:00 AM, they just kept talking about 'voucher, voucher, voucher'. No idea, I have never needed a 'voucher' to rent a car. This dragged on. What a mess. I: I didn’t receive a voucher. They: No voucher, no car. I then rummaged through my emails and desperately clicked the link 'View Booking Details'. Oh wonder, the booking details were displayed, but no voucher. I: I can't find any voucher; it always shows me just the booking details. They: Hey, that's the voucher. Took a screenshot and after an hour, we were done. (The car is pure junk. A Fiat. For instance, without a central console. The gear lever sticks right out of the floor.) Hertz has always been problematic. With Eurocar, everything was always easy. Martin later told me that Argentinians simply refer to many documents related to money as vouchers. Hmm. Okay, off to the city.
Free Concert
I immediately headed to my favorite spot, the balcony of the Casino Grande, and had a large gin and tonic.
A little snack from the supermarket and off to bed. Tomorrow I have the day off and will explore the area around my new home. It is supposed to be a surfer hotspot. I don’t know much about the scene (yet). Here’s the link from Martin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/DCzEtXGt9MZ2qYi19
Tomorrow, I’ll head into the tube, and I don’t mean the subway. :) Hang loose! Thorsten

Salut Thorsten, interessante Begebenheiten.
