New Year's Eve
Okay, here we go!Since I don't have a bike yet, I walked to 'Downtown'. (The sunsets here are always quite spectacular)

Hello!
Today I took a walk to Red Moon.

It was a bit windier today than in the previous days. Accordingly, the surf was quite impressive. Honestly, I wouldn't have dared to go out there anymore.
Even the seasoned surfers found it no stroll in the park. During the 2 hours I was there, 2 surfers had to be rescued. I got the impression that the surfers were simply exhausting themselves too much and couldn't make it back to shore.
And this is what a rescue looks like:

Some lifeguards swim with a rope to the surfer and then both are pulled back to shore with combined strength.
After that was successful, the entire beach applauded. It seems to be a solid ritual.
And here are the rescuers and the rescued:

The ones in the red swim trunks are the lifeguards (Just like on TV :)). And the one in the black swim trunks is presumably the surfer.
This sport is no joke. It's impossible without lifeguards.
And this is what it looks like when you're skilled (25x zoom):

Maybe I should work on my golf career after all. ;)
Hang loose!
🤙
