Hello everyone!
Unfortunately, our journey took a downward turn after our visit to Q’eros, as our DSLR camera and Paul's mobile phone were stolen from us on the overnight bus to Copacabana... After a brief moment of aggression, we calmed down and decided to share our experiences with you through words.
We spent 5 very relaxing days in Copacabana on Lake Titicaca, where we treated ourselves to a nice hotel. The city is very touristy, and it feels like Bolivia has to make the most of its only beach (they lost access to the sea to the Chileans much to their dismay in the last century): from jet skis to inflatable water wheels where you can run around like a hamster, everything is here. Paul fell in love with Basso (he lovingly calls him Bassito), a stray dog, and it seems like he fell in love with Paul too, but unfortunately, we had to leave him behind.
Now we are in the Salt Flats near Uyuni with my father, his Brazilian girlfriend Barbara, and Ludwig, a 26-year-old Artificial Intelligence student from Berlin. Here, we have had a White Pre-Christmas yesterday and today. We are driving through incredible landscapes in a jeep, with vast expanses as far as the eye can see... But more on that in the coming days.
Tomorrow, we will celebrate Christmas Eve in hot springs under the starry sky.
We will be thinking of you and wish you a beautiful and peaceful time! Merry Christmas!
