Tandem tour Day 13

Petra:

Today started with sunshine, which was not so great because there was an uphill climb right away. Most of the time it was cloudy, with occasional glimpses of sun. The route was very scenic. We could see the Rhine at times, and it was particularly idyllic in a small nature reserve and near a hydroelectric power plant. The last stretch was a bit annoying because it went through Basel. I can't imagine that Uwe had a chance to relax today. He had to keep an eye on the route, the map, and the other road users the whole time. On the other hand, I could relax and admire beautiful houses and gardens. Even the last stretch stressed me out.

We've only had two days of sun and my nose bridge is already peeling. Tomorrow we finally go to France. I'm not sure if I'm really excited about it. Uwe took some of the tension away by booking accommodations until Sunday yesterday. Now we just have to conquer the route.
