Day 6: Nazareth

Our last day has begun. On one hand, it feels like we have been here forever, on the other hand, it feels like just a blink of an eye since the bustling Tel Aviv welcomed us.

Today, we have decided to visit Nazareth. Our travel guides don't have much information about Nazareth, and the internet doesn't offer much either, leaving the impression that we are going to a gray city that has nothing to offer but a few dusty churches.

Fortunately, we still decided to explore Nazareth. The fact is that there are really many churches in Nazareth. We visited some of them, such as the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Greek Orthodox Church. But Nazareth is also colorful and lively, with good falafel shops (yes, we ate falafel again), a small Arabic market, and many colorful and individual houses and narrow alleys.

In the early afternoon, we leave Nazareth behind and take the train back to Haifa. We sit on Zamir Beach long after the sunset. Today is Sabbath, and many families gather on the beach to sit and eat.

Since our Rav cards for the bus are empty and it's not worth reloading them, we decide to take a taxi home for once. It's not so easy because of the Sabbath, but eventually, we manage to get a Gett taxi and we have it take us to a falafel stand one last time before we climb the countless stairs to our apartment through the German Colony and past the illuminated Bahai Garden. We pack and tidy up.
