Tag 6: Relaxed through Akko

Today we started the day relaxed. There was even time for breakfast in our cozy apartment. Today we took the train to Akko, not too far from Haifa. It must be emphasized again how easy and cheap it is to use public transportation! Very relaxed. In the afternoon heat, we reached the old town of the beautiful Akko. First, we strolled through the Turkish bazaar (of course, the daily falafel had to be there), then we continued through the narrow winding streets of the old town. We visited the Al-Jazzar Mosque. To cool down, we then went to the beautiful Argaman Beach, definitely one of the most beautiful beaches we have visited. There was also a small lunch on the beach. For the way back to Haifa, we used the bus this time and we still got off. On the way, we fed a few stray cats (of which there are many) with cat food that we had bought beforehand. The evening ended with a serving of mac'n'cheese and a game of Monopoly.
