Today, we drove to Tongariro National Park, unfortunately in bad weather. It was once again very impressive, the scenery is just beautiful everywhere here. On the way there, we stopped everywhere to take pictures.
At one of the stops, we met a nice Indian couple, and we met them a total of three times today. They have been living in Rotorua for five years and were very friendly.
Unfortunately, we couldn't take the chairlift to the volcano summit because the weather was too bad. So we took a short walk (the Meadow Wall Walk) and found some beautiful spots along the way.
As a reward for ourselves 😃, we went to Château Tongariro, one of the oldest hotels in New Zealand. They recommended the High Tea there, which was a mix of small sandwiches and pastries with tea, incredibly delicious. After that, we started heading back and found a great waterfall.
After a long day, we didn't feel like cooking tonight, so we went to the Lakehouse restaurant in Taupo. It was packed, so we went in and the food was absolutely amazing.
