Overview of the tour

Smart alecks know: Even the biggest journey starts with the first step. Our first step was, as always, the round 300 meter walk around the corner to the bus stop Franz-Körner-Straße, where the bus 171 to the airport departs.

We flew with Finnair via Helsinki to New York. We spent a week here and once again it was not a day too much. Our base and sleeping place this time was the financial district with a direct view of the Hudson and the One-World-Center.

From there we went via Newark and Dallas to Denver, the starting point of our forty-day round trip with a camper van through the still wild west. In total, we stayed in ten states at 29 locations for one to three days each:

We used the free app "HERE WeGo" as our guide. It works wonderfully in offline mode if you download the corresponding maps for free beforehand. SIM card not necessary, but remember to bring a power supply!
