Day 24 - Run & chill

Tadoussac, a sleepy little village with 800 inhabitants and over 3000 tourists in the summer. When we wake up, it's pretty loud. Is it raining? No. Then what is it? Wind, and not just a little bit. It's constantly windy and very strong. The flags are all standing straight.

Basically, we don't have anything specific planned for today. So let's go through our options. Swimming? Too windy. Driving? Where to? Going to a restaurant? Not so fun. Staying in the room? We have something better in mind.

If we are called sportodimondo, we can also do something sporty. And not just watch, but be active ourselves. Next to us is the start of a nature trail right by the lake. It leads into the green and looks tempting. So we start a jogging route at our own pace, and it's quite challenging. Suddenly, it's all uphill. We arrive at the top panting, but we can enjoy the view of the fjord (yes, that's what it's called here, not just in Scandinavia). But we still have to go back. So let's go.

After about an hour, we're back. Time to take a dip in the small lake behind our accommodation. Pleasant temperatures make it easier to get in. Only the darn wind is still biting, especially when coming out. Wrapped in a towel, we're fine. And soon the sun is enough to defy the wind. So we enjoy a few minutes to hours in the sun.

Finally, we go to the village for dinner and take a short digestion walk afterwards. And what we see surprises us. In the river delta, we actually see a whale. Wow... Tadoussac is famous for whale watching, but to see one without warning is truly impressive. We observe it for a while and see the sunset. We head towards bed - it's quite chilly due to the wind.
