We didn't do much today. In the harbor of Andrjik there was a lot to discover and a small lunch snack.
From here we went to Kasteel Radboud in Medemblik. The Kasteel is quite pretty and manageable. It is located directly on the IJsselmeer and you have both peace and relaxation along the dike and a few hundred meters away there is a sailing school and a beach. Of course everything was well attended today with 27 degrees.
Since there is a horse race in Medemblik today and therefore a lot of action, we looked for a parking space a few kilometers away. Björn from Berlin and his family run a kind of mini farm “The Bee” with a bungalow and parking space rental. In addition to a small restaurant, there are chickens, an orchard and of course the namesake of the rental - bees. You can also buy locally grown vegetables and of course delicious homemade honey. Over coffee, cake and a chat, Björn gave us a few helpful tips for possible further destinations.
If you are in the vicinity and are looking for accommodation, you should definitely drop by "The Bee" in Medemblik and treat the Wednesday chicken, yes that's really what it means, to a few cuddles.
