"The Afsluitdijk ( Dutch Afsluitdijk, West Frisian Ofslútdyk ) is a 32 km long dam in the Netherlands between the provinces of Noord-Holland and Friesland . Südersee ) across from theNorth Sea . Today we crossed the dyke. The 32km were driven quite quickly and a good connection between the two Dutch provinces. Unfortunately we could not climb the lookout tower because the dyke is undergoing a thorough renovation and is therefore a construction site in some places. When crossing, only the IJselmeer can be seen from the motorway. The North Sea is blocked from view by a raised dike
