Arrival to Sweden

And we're back on tour.

After driving almost one and a half hours and several kilometers detour due to an accident on the A2 near Braunschweig, we were really looking forward to Haithabu. We wanted to stay there and visit the Viking museum, just like in 2019. However, we were disappointed upon arrival. Unfortunately, overnight stays with a motorhome are no longer allowed there. So there we were, just before dark, having to find something else.

So, we had to continue to Flensburg. Unfortunately, we consequently couldn't visit the Viking museum either. Very disappointing.

In Flensburg, there are free parking spaces for motorhomes at a shopping center. Unfortunately, it was very crowded. You really have to enjoy a little bit of cozy camping. But at least it was free. And we were also very tired.

We started early in the morning. Refueling, shopping, and crossing the border to Denmark, and two hours later crossing the Öresund Bridge to Sweden.

We found a nice parking space in a small harbor. But not without buying Kanelbullar for coffee beforehand. You don't know what Kanelbullar are? Well, cinnamon buns 🙂
