Jutland

Published: 16.07.2023

The day consisted mainly of adjusting to 10 degrees cooler and rainy weather for me. Lead-colored rain clouds flew at what felt like my pace. How beautiful it is to catch a glimpse of the sky blue in such a situation.

At the border crossing it was evident what the early start was good for; the E45 was reduced to one lane there and that created a traffic jam. Fortunately, for the time being, it was only about 300 meters long.

On the journey through Jutland, I stopped at the Tirpitz Museum. Luckily, the sun was shining there with its midday strength, so everything dried out quite well again. The museum itself is definitely worth a visit. Interesting exhibitions about bunkers, amber, and the residents of the area can be found there. In the design of the museum building, the huge bunker facilities that were already built there in the middle of the last century were cleverly incorporated.

On the further journey, wind and rain returned to accompany me. Hedges and trees by the roadside waved quite frantically as I passed by. Strong gusts of wind, which I could only balance in a tilted position, did the rest, so I was glad when I reached Ringkøbing. It will surely get even cooler and moister soon.
