Driving day with London detour

Today, the approximately 420 km towards Folkstone were on the schedule. We started around 11:15 and the planned driving time was about 5 hours.

Shortly after the start, even Monique drove a whole stretch. The very narrow and winding route is probably easier to endure when driving autonomously.

The closer we got to London, the busier it became. In the end, we even drove through the Low Emission Zone = urban area because the highways were so congested. Luckily, we didn't go too far into the city center because it was already exhausting enough at the outskirts. The popular maneuver of the Mercedes navigation system: taking an exit, going through the roundabout, and then getting back on the highway was used to bypass the traffic jam.

In the end, it took us about 8 hours.

During lunch, we charged nearly 40 kWh at Gridserve for 48p per kWh + £1 connection fee.
