Of sheep and kiwis

Long long time ago I can still remember... Oh man, it's been a long time since I wrote anything here, but due to the poor internet connections in the last hostels, I couldn't upload any pictures. In my first accommodation there, of course, I met Germans again, this time from the other side of the Rhine from Wiesbaden... the world is really a small village. Together we explored the city a bit, climbed Mt. Eden, which by the way offers a great view over the city, and did some other things.

On the first evening, we quickly went to the Rugby Auckland Blues against the Christchurch Crusaders.

Auckland, I don't know what to make of this city... pretty gray and somehow there's not much to do if you're not planning to go up the Skytower or go on a boat cruise. So I just relaxed, hung out, in short... chilled out :-) and went to the Chinese Lantern Festival.

I used the time to think about my onward journey and luckily I quickly found someone who will accompany me on my explorations. You can really travel in NZ very well with public transport, you just need to know how to combine the different offers and then you can get pretty much anywhere inexpensively. Let's get the adventure started!
