(07/09) The weather report has once again changed its mind at the last minute. Contrary to what was predicted last night, there is now strong wind from the northwest.
We set off in good time to cover as much distance as possible before the wind is expected to pick up around 1:00 PM.
We leave the harbor at around 9:00 AM and weave our way south through the - sometimes - very narrow waterways.
The weather forecast is surpassed by the wind. Instead of picking up around 1:00 PM, the wind becomes noticeably stronger before 11:00 AM.
We end our journey today after about 5 hours and approximately 20 nautical miles in Rauma. Here we must leave the archipelago, as the bridges over the following waterways are too low.
In strong wind from the northwest, it gets very uncomfortable on the open sea.
I use the afternoon for a leisurely walk in the old town of Rauma.
Tomorrow the wind is expected to die down again, and then we will continue.
