The weather is not promising anything good for the next few days. So, it's off to another town. We're checking into Oasy Camping, from where the old town is within walking distance. Since it's raining, we plan to head into the city tomorrow, when it should be a bit better. Mayla still needs to go out, so I'm looking for a walk on Komoot and find a path to Bauxite Lake. Let's do it.
The lake looks really amazing, probably even better in the sunshine. Right now, everything is wet and slippery; the muddy ground is about three centimeters thick under my shoes. And Mayla is red instead of white.
Back in the camper, the heavy rain starts. I guess we’ll just ride it out now.
We’re visiting the UNESCO World Heritage city of Otranto under a gray sky. What a pity, it would be beautiful here. The town feels deserted—winter and bad weather all at once. After some searching, we find a bar for the caffè. Probably the only one open, judging by the foot traffic.
The afternoon is again rainy and windy.
