In Rovinj, we went to the old town once again and climbed the 60m high church tower, which can only be reached via a makeshift narrow wooden staircase that would never have passed the German TÜV 😉
The next day, we packed our belongings and moved on to the Skrila Sunny camping site in Stara Baška on the Island of Krk. The last few kilometers were along an adventurous mountain road where it felt like the caravan was about to overtake us, but we landed safely in the end.
It's a much smaller campsite than the Amarin Rovinj, no pool either, which disappointed the kids a bit, but it has a really beautiful beach.
The bays between Punat and Stara Baška are considered the most beautiful on the island, and some can only be reached by boat. We took a boat trip to see them from the water, but the rest of the time we spent on the beach of the campsite, or for lunch and visiting the playground in the neighboring town of Punat.
The kids don't go to bed before 10pm, so now we can all (!) sleep in until 8:30am in the morning 😴 😉
