Market Day

Saturday, today is market day in Fortuna. We first have to wait for the baker, who supplies us daily with fresh baked bread and cakes. We can quickly get to town by bike. We marvel at the beautiful fruits and vegetables fresh from the farmers. Huge cabbages, crunchy tomatoes 🍅, tender lettuces, delicious strawberries 🍓, apples, pears, blueberries, cherries 🍒, from potatoes to clothes, shoes 👟, and laundry detergent, everything is available here. Most people stock up on fresh groceries, while some also buy clothes or phone shoulder bags. Visiting the market can be tiring. Hans, Ernst, and Emma take a break. After a visit to the church, we continue to the café. On the way home, we stop by the Chinese restaurant because there's a masquerade ball in La Fuente on Friday. No costume to borrow... Back home, Elke and Dieter surprise us with homemade waffles... Thank you very much, both of you. A long table is set up. Enjoying coffee ☕️, waffles with strawberries 🍓 and whipped cream, we treat ourselves well.
