So it has already been four weeks. To be honest, it feels like it's been notably longer. And this is despite the fact that I still haven't officially started my job. Because when I was waiting on Monday with my colleagues to be introduced to the director, the students, and other teachers, in order to start teaching on Tuesday, our mentor eventually came in to explain that it is currently too chaotic and that physical education lessons would actually start only in the following week. In the meantime, we have all been introduced, and I know that I will be giving about 15 sports lessons, 2 German lessons, and one soccer training session weekly, but I haven’t actually worked yet. Not that it's really a problem for me. For instance, I had time to buy a new watch for 4 euros (to appear more serious in front of the students), to watch an international match between Rwanda and Nigeria in the stadium, to retrieve my card (which had been eaten by an ATM for the second time) from the bank, and to do a lot of writing. And starting next week, I can finally keep my promise and talk about work.
