Week 13&14
View of Muhazi Lake

It's that time again where I'm practically unemployed. The trimester is already over, so aside from two short German classes a week, there's no more work for me. Of course, there are plenty of sources of stress and excitement outside of work, and especially in these last two weeks, I've really felt that. For example, I was at the Rayon Sport versus APR FC game (the most important football match in Rwanda) at the stadium yesterday, and my phone was stolen from me in a crowd. Something is always happening here. That's why I'm quite happy to be returning to Germany for 3 weeks in less than 2 weeks.
This may sound worse than it is - but in reality, it's quite the opposite. I'm very glad that I've found good friends with whom I do something almost every day. As you can see in the pictures, I saw monkeys in the wild for the first time in my life, was taken by a friend to his cousin's graduation party, and it's already known that Kigali is a very beautiful city at any time of the day. And that's by no means all the wonderful things I've experienced in recent days.
There won't be any work for the next 11 days, but I'm definitely enjoying my free time as well. Then there will be one more entry, and over Christmas and New Year, I'm taking a break from pretty much everything related to Rwanda - including this blog.
