Sightseeing in Queenstown

Today is another rest day. We just want to go into town and have a look around.

The first glimpses from yesterday promised a very beautiful Queenstown. Well-designed residential areas with lovely houses and hotels or apartment buildings. No tall buildings, everything kept low, and almost all with large glass fronts offering stunning views of the lake or the mountain landscape. Everything looks very upscale.

The travel guide does mention that this place is supposed to be like the Ballermann, which we can't quite imagine right now. Maybe it looks different during the season, which starts on December 1st...? However, there are plenty of adventure and activity offerings...

We park near the Queenstown Garden. A beautifully designed park right by the lake. Great old trees, lush blooming flowers, and everything well-maintained. Walking here is fun, and we never thought they would seem to value such things here. But of course, when you have upscale residential areas, such things come with the territory.

A bit of shopping was also planned. Sure, we bought a magnet, plus two t-shirts with a Queenstown print… what must be, must be ;-)
