On the evening before our departure from Phuket, we treat ourselves to a meal and a Singha at the Boss Bar, which made a name for itself already with the pizza the day before.
Before that, we had to withdraw cash from the ATM since the taxi driver who is supposed to take us to the airport in the morning does not have a card reader. Conveniently, the price for the ride is already fixed, and we know how many Baht we need. For 300 Baht, we'll be chauffeured, which is about 10 Euros. It's fine!
However, we first had to figure out how the ATM works. Inserted the bank card, and chaos began. A brightly colored display with the most beautifully ornate lettering and a little bit of English hints. We find out that you cannot enter a specific amount. The minimum amount is 1000 Baht – which we don’t need. It doesn't work any other way, so we request the 1000 and are shown that the value is incorrect... Huh, why???? And again, pressed cancel. Unfortunately, the credit card did not come out of the ATM anymore. Yes, very cool ... L. Thorsten
