Elbe Cycle Path Riesa - Dresden

Another beautiful sunny day. With a lot of (back)wind! A shepherd walked on the dam and introduced us to his Merino meat sheep. We quickly agreed: Merino is the best wool and the wolf causes a lot of trouble for the shepherds. By the way, dams have been everywhere since the flood of 2002.

And there are many sparrows - even in Meißen on the marketplace.

We didn't see any cargo ships. It's unimaginable that from 1860-1945 a 665 km long steel chain made the Elbe navigable with chain ships from Hamburg to Bohemia.

We don't miss anything culinary: there is good food, local beer and (ice)cafes line the way.
