#35 Kite Surfer in l‘Escala

F. December 6th is a national holiday in Spain, commemorating the Spanish Constitution. On this day, many families were out on the promenade and the dune trails, enjoying the beautiful sunshine and strong wind. Some water sports enthusiasts also gathered on the beach, and we enjoyed watching the windsurfers and kite surfers perform their tricks in the sun. The strong wind allowed some kite surfers to jump up to 50 meters and incorporate various tricks. One windsurfer even managed to perform a near somersault, which frequently elicited excited "Olas" from the onlookers. Here are some impressions of the athletes, the small village of Sant Marti d’Empúries, and of course, l’Escala.
