Our preliminary last travel destination is now Thailand, specifically Phuket or Patong Beach. There, we rented a motorcycle among other things and also visited various beach areas around Phuket. Jürgen was finally able to visit Maya Bay, where the film 'The Beach' starring Leonardo DiCaprio was shot. However, it was a typical tourist magnet. Unfortunately, there is no other way to reach the island. Swimming is not allowed there, as sharks live there with their young. You can, however, access the beach itself. We also visited Ko Phi Phi island. Here, mass tourism reigns and people are dropped off every minute. The island was most affected by the tsunami back then and almost washed away. After about 20 years, it looks quite dirty now.
Today, after 12 days in Thailand, we are heading back to Austria!!😌☺️
In April, we are planning another trip to South England with the camper....to be continued...
