Birdwatching, Stave Churches, and Göta Canal - Southern Sweden by Motorhome

In the morning, we drove to the nature reserve at Lake Tåkern for the visitor area Svälinge.

At the parking lot, we encountered a few other motorhomes, which had likely stayed overnight and were just getting ready to leave. We parked and made our way to the short walking trail to the bird tower.

The tall observation tower offers a wide view of the meadows and the lake, but the birds were difficult to see even with binoculars.

The circular path led us along the river Mjölnaan to a small observation tower.

This one was significantly lower, and unfortunately, there were no birds to be seen in the surroundings at all.

However, the path through the landscape was lovely, even though we always had to look down to avoid the droppings of the animal landscapers.
