Day 41 and 42 Nelson

On the way to Nelson, we made a stop at Pelorus Bridge Reserve where we took a short hike through the forest to a waterfall and another filming location from The Hobbit (part of the barrel ride scene was filmed here).

Arriving in Nelson, we explored the city center and we were pleasantly surprised! It's a really beautiful and welcoming city (a true rarity in New Zealand, but people also come for the impressive nature)!

Today, we did the Cable Bay Walk near Nelson. It took us along the coastline, through sheep and cow pastures, with breathtaking views. And at the end, we were rewarded with a panorama of the bay, Nelson, and Abel Tasman National Park.
